Hamen/Compare/Anima

Transparent control or sensory variety?

Hamen vs
Anima.

Both apps offer binaural and isochronic listening on iOS and Android. Hamen is more conservative and device-native; Anima publicly offers a wider sensory mix, including 8D audio, ASMR and more interface languages.

Disclosure: This comparison is published by Hamen’s maker. We use Anima’s official support pages and current Apple/Google listings, not reviews or scraped feature claims. “Anima” here always means Anima: Binaural Beats. Prices and features may change.

01 · Direct answer

The shared category hides different personalities.

Hamen and Anima both provide binaural and isochronic options, named frequency categories, noise and ambience. Hamen is built around a quieter, transparent player with curated controls and native widgets. Anima’s listing emphasizes 8D soundscapes, ASMR, intensity controls, background mixing and generated routines.

Neither catalog size nor a “science-backed” label proves that a session will produce a mental or medical outcome. Hamen’s choice is to explain the mechanism and uncertainty rather than repeat stronger therapeutic language.

Verified 20 August 2026. Anima’s store listing presents multiple in-app purchase variants, so this page avoids pretending one global price applies to every person.

03 · Listening experience

Anima offers more formats; Hamen offers fewer decisions at once.

Anima may appeal to listeners who want ambient experimentation: its public listing describes intensity adjustment, 8D audio, ASMR collaborations, nature/noise layers and background playback alongside podcasts or other media. It also serves more interface languages than Hamen today.

Hamen’s strength is legibility. The player tells you which curated session you opened, the signal options that session supports, the tone level, one selected ambient bed and the timer. You can search by intention or frequency label, save favorites, follow recent history and return through widgets.

Current Hamen customization has a boundary.

Hamen does not yet offer arbitrary custom carrier/beat entry, named saved mixes, multiple simultaneous ambient layers, ASMR or 8D soundscapes. Those are not silently counted as current comparison wins.

04 · Claims and evidence

Hamen does not repeat Anima’s therapeutic language.

Anima’s store marketing uses phrases such as “science-backed” and discusses outcomes including tinnitus-related use. Those are Anima’s own product claims. We did not find a product-specific bibliography or peer-reviewed Anima trial in the official pages reviewed, so Hamen does not restate those outcomes as facts.

Hamen makes a narrower claim: it produces or plays particular audio signals, organizes them for everyday intentions and gives listeners a practical routine. Our Science & Listening page says binaural perception is well described while evidence for specific sleep, focus and calm outcomes remains mixed and context-dependent.

Hamen is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent tinnitus, ADHD, insomnia, anxiety or any other condition.

05 · Data and accounts

Hamen keeps the listening model local—with disclosed exceptions.

Hamen keeps recent listening history, favorites, plan progress and playback preferences on the device. It does not collect microphone audio, location or health data. Purchases and optional measurement use the providers described in the current Privacy Policy.

Android does not offer a Hamen sign-in. On iOS, Sign in with Apple is optional, and Hamen does not create a Prizmaly server account. We avoid scoring Anima with a simplistic privacy checkmark because data practices are more nuanced than one table cell; readers should consult each product’s current policy.

06 · Decision

Choose simplicity or variety.

Choose Hamen

For transparent audio choices and device surfaces.

Best fit for visible frequency-oriented sessions, carefully limited claims, on-device listening data, five-day plans and native iOS/Android widgets.

Choose Anima

For multilingual, 8D and ASMR variety.

Best fit when sensory formats, broad language support, iPad availability, background mixing and routine-generation features matter most.

Hamen is not “better” because it has fewer features. It is better for a specific person: someone who values a calm interface, knows which signal family they are choosing and prefers uncertainty to be stated plainly.

07 · FAQ

Hamen and Anima questions.

Are both apps on iOS and Android?

Yes. Hamen and Anima: Binaural Beats both have current official iOS and Android listings. Anima also lists iPad compatibility.

Anima. Hamen’s current interface is English, while Anima’s Apple listing includes English and many other languages.

Does Anima’s “science-backed” wording prove outcomes?
